Trend Micro announced the addition of new security features within the Trend Micro Mobile Security. Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 adds protection against hackers and intrusions while improving on the previously available mobile malicious code protection for mobile malware and SMS spam. Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 helps "on the go" consumers and professionals protect themselves from malicious attackers attempting to acquire sensitive information by surreptitious means.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 is designed for maximum ease-of-use, providing users a simple interface intended to provide maximum security with minimal impact on the user and device. The new firewall and intrusion detection capabilities help block malicious attacks by offering protection that can be set to low, medium or high level with the added flexibility of blocking specific IP addresses and ports.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 supports a variety of devices running a various operating systems. Supported operating systems include Windows Mobile 5.0 (Smartphone & PocketPC) and Symbian OS 9.1/S60 3rd Edition.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 (PocketPC and Smartphone) is available immediately with pricing beginning at $34.95 per device. Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 for Symbian/S60 3rd Edition will be available in 2007.
