A cellphone is the last thing a typical student would forget to take to class, so a Japanese university said it would incorporate student identification cards into mobile handsets.
"No student forgets to take a cellphone with him, even if he forgets his textbook," university president Kosei Oguchi said on Friday. The school is going to implement electronic student id to all the new students next April to register for classes and security access. Other than identity verification, Students can also use it to buy from the cafeteria, shops and vending machines. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/afplifestylejapaneducationtelecomoffbeat via www.engadget.com |
