Picsel Technologies today announced a partnership with Leadtone Wireless, China's leading wireless email technology leader- to pursue joint wireless email business opportunities in China.

The collaboration will see the companies combining forces to develop a range of server-based solutions based on their respective wireless email offerings, including Picsel's File Viewer application that enables business users to access email attachments whilst on the move. Picsel File Viewer can faithfully reproduce common PC documents on smart mobile terminals, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF, plain text and images.

Leadtone Wireless specialises in 'push email' technology which enables enterprise, ISP and web-based emails to be sent wirelessly to mobile devices. In addition to notifying a subscriber whenever a new email arrives, Leadtone's 'push' system can also provide end-to-end security to protect information to be transmitted over the internet and wireless networks.
