Walt Disney Internet Group (Japan), a division of The Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd. (Disney), and Vodafone K.K. announced today that they will offer Disney's first Bluetooth multiplayer 3D racing game, Cars 3D, on Vodafone live! from June 1, 2006.

The Cars 3D V-appli is a 3D racing game that features characters from Disney/Pixar's latest movie Cars, which is scheduled for release in Japan on July 1. Cars 3D will be the first game based on a Disney/Pixar movie to appear ahead of film release.

A 2 character/2 course version called Cars: Speed Challenge will be available at the time of launch on June 1. Customers will be able to choose from a Bluetooth multiplayer mode or a solo time attack mode. In addition, a powered up version called Cars: Final Cup is scheduled for July. Cars: Final Cup will feature 5 characters and 3 courses for players to choose from. A Grand Prix mode will be added for competition in all 3 courses. Customers will also be able to download additional characters and courses.

More courses, characters and game modes are scheduled to be available for download in the future.
