T-Mobile is now offering multiplayer games for Bluetooth. With it, multiple mobile phone users will be able to use short range radio technology to play against each other in the same game, guaranteeing absolutely breathtaking volleys in virtual ping pong matches. Bluetooth technology, which T-Mobile has installed in many of its current mobile phones, enables the rapid exchange of data between players' phones. These connections do not cost anything. T-Mobile is moving up to the starting gate with Bluetooth games in Germany, Austria, UK and the Netherlands.

The first Bluetooth-enabled phone games from T-Mobile are Cannonball, Pocket Glider, Space A and Top Trumps Football Legends. Cannonball is a game of action and tactics that looks a lot like ping pong. You can only win by playing strategically and reacting quickly. In Pocket Glider, players slip into virtual pilot suits and fly their airplanes through mysterious secret labyrinths in wonderful adventures.

Galaxy Odyssey is an ultrafast outer space shooter game in which players must fight their way through hordes of space monsters. Space A, another action-packed shooter game, is reminiscent of the legendary F14 fighter plane duels. Debuting just in time for the FIFA 2006 World Cup, Top Trumps Football Legends is a quartet game based on the most famous soccer players of all time. Gamers and soccer fans can play Football Legends alone or use the Bluetooth interfaces to play against their friends. In the game, 30 current and historical soccer legends battle for supremacy in "International Cups," "International Goals," "Number of Clubs" and "Trophies."

To play one of the games as a group, all the players must have Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones from T-Mobile and have the game saved on their phones. The four games will be available exclusively from T-Mobile at first and can be downloaded from the t-zones mobile portal in the Games/Multiplayer&3D menu. Each game costs 4.99 euros. There may be additional costs for mobile data transmission, depending on the data option selected.
