Imagination Technologies will be demonstrating advanced IP for mobile 3D graphics at CES 2006. This technology enables console-class 3D gaming, advanced user interfaces and 3D messaging as well as on-line promotion and marketing.

PowerVR, Imagination Technologies groundbreaking graphics technology, with its highly efficient and low-bandwidth architecture, has now succeeded in bringing console-class gaming to the mobile world. Widespread acceptance of PowerVR by the world's top silicon companies is creating a new, pervasive mobile gaming platform. This has been eagerly adopted by leading mobile device manufacturers and service providers including SONY Ericsson, Fujitsu, NEC, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Motorola, SK Teletech, NTT DoCoMo (FOMA) and Dell.

Demonstrations at CES 2006 will include prototype silicon of Imaginations' new programmable shader graphics technology. This underlying technology has been adopted in the PowerVR SGX shader-based graphics and video architecture recently announced by Imagination.

A range of games titles is already available supporting PowerVR MBX, including Quake Mobile (PulseMobile), Quake3 CE (Noctemware) ChopperFight (Omnigsoft), GeoRallyEX (IonFX), Toy Golf (Fathammer), Solterra (Blacksmith Studios), Stuntcar Extreme (Fathammer), Enigmo (Aspyr), Virtual Pool Mobile (Celeris) and Jackpot Casino (Mobile Stream).

PowerVR MBX, which exceeds OpenGL ES 1.X requirements, delivers massive triangle and fill rates along with full 3D features such as skinning, FSAA, curved surfaces, per-pixel lighting and texture compression.
