Many people have been angry that MS did not port the PPC MS ebook reader program to the SP platform.  Well, I just tried out the new Tiny ebook Reader, version 2.5, and it now supports Microsoft .LIT files as well!!!  These have to be open, not DRM locked, but they can now be viewed with the new version.  NOTE:  You have to buy it, the Trial version does not support MS .LIT ebook files.  Hope you like it, link is enclosed below:
