Reports of new changes to the Voq phone. Has the Windows based Sierra Voq smartphone undergone some changes? Matt M at MTekk reports ... yoos at MSMobileNews.com has posted some new images of the Sierra Voq smartphone from the FCC website. The article makes for an interesting read: "Check out what I found on the FCC site... A Voq phone with a facelift! I haven't seen any pictures of this phone with a number pad like this before. It has the Windows signature on the back so I would have to say it's definitely a different (newer most likely?) version of their MS Smartphone! "
There certainly are some differences in this version. It's possible to speculate that the Voq pictured to the left represents the production model, while the one pictured to the right is a pre-production "mock-up", a reasonably common enough practice. I did note that the picture of the back shows the Windows signature, and it almost seems as if it's worded to read "Designed for Windows Mobile", rather than "Microsoft Windows Powered". This would indicate a Windows Mobile 2003 version of the phone, although this is pure speculation based on a photo which may have been airbrushed by Sierra Wireless to conceal just this fact.
