Matt M reviews his XDA II after a full month of usage - has his opinion changed? Read and find out ... Included SoftwareI have to confess that I've used some of the applications very little - such as IA Style Caller ID, which I disabled in order to reduce the number of running applications. However, reports of this particular application have seemed to indicate that it's terribly buggy and best left out. I certainly don't miss having a photo displayed for people I'm calling or receiving calls from - it's not that attractive a feature. I've not had a chance to test a wireless SDIO card in the device - I have plenty of issues with 802.11b in my house, and it's a shame there's no 802.11a SD cards. However, I will test this at some point. I don't really like the included MMS Composer software - but then I don't really use MMS. In fact, I only mention it because I was finally able to get MMS working under Vodafone, and I found while I was trying to do this that the software didn't give me anywhere near as much information about what's happening as I'd like. But in my relatively limited experience of MMS, this is not a complain that can be limited purely to Windows Mobile based devices. Indeed, in some ways, the MMS software is actually an improvement. I would perhaps be happier with it if not for what I see as a limitation of my mobile provider (Vodafone) - who required one GPRS connection to service WAP and MMS, and another to service Internet. This switching between the two can get very wearing over time. I also feel that a set of preset settings for providers such as Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and others in the Asia Pacific region would be common sense - applications such as SPB Software House's GPRS Monitor do this, making life all the easier for the end user.
