Matt M from MTekk tells us that Geekzone has great news for those yearning for a CDMA version of the Pocket PC Phone ...
The great news is that it's a HTC Falcon based device featuring dual band CDMA/PCS, and runs Windows Mobile 2003. It's a little lower in specification than the XDA II - but not much - with a 400 mhz processor, 64Mb memory, and of course the familiar SD/MMC slot. In looks, it's very much like a cross between the XDA and XDA II. Geekzone's review of the device, from way back in October, rated it very highly. They were especially impressed with the CDMA2000 1xRTT support, and the good news is that according to their article, it also supports 1xEVDO (capable of 300 - 500kb/s - easily outdoing GPRS and 1xRTT). Unfortunately it doesn't appear to support a few new features, such as Bluetooth and built in camera - but no matter. This is very cool news regardless, and hopefully we'll see it over here in Australia!
