A Singapore-based company, DOML, sent me their screen protector - the Martin Fields Overlay Plus Screen Protector - to review on my XDA II.

Other items of note

The Overlay Plus screen protectors are washable and reusable. I suspect though that by the time I think to wash mine, it will be time to replace it for scratches. I'm kind of hoping to see them last at least 6 months like the WriteSHIELD. However, only time will tell.

I'm also interested in, and might see about having a look at, their Overlay Plus Power Extender , which retailed for AUD$11.99 and claims to extended battery life by up to 30%. I've seen some good reviews of it elsewhere, and they do offer one for the O2 XDA II. Given known problems with battery life in this device, I feel that anything which might extend this to any degree could be well worth a look.

Overall

I'm pretty happy with the Overlay Plus so far. I feel in many ways if I was to judge them poor compared to the WriteSHIELD, I'd have done so on the first day. However, apart from a few niggles - and believe me when I say that the WriteSHIELD's aren't totally perfect either - I have to say that I'll happily use the Overlay Plus. Wear and tear has yet to be seen, and this might bring the score down if it proves to be less robust than the WriteSHIELD (in spite of the fact that I've as yet not seen any claim on DOML's behalf to be as good as the WriteSHIELD). But for now - they're every bit as good as I could hope.
