A Singapore-based company, DOML, sent me their screen protector - the Martin Fields Overlay Plus Screen Protector - to review on my XDA II.

Price

The price - to me - seems quite attractive. AUD $17.33 each, or AUD$33.33 for a two pack, is not too bad a price for a decent protector - provided it does what it claims, and will last the course. By comparison, a WriteSHIELD Standard 3 Pack - which comes with Klearscreen wet and dry cloths, and a removal tool - retails at AUD$53.37 from Expansys. Thus, they work out approximately the same price (about AUD$16.00 per protector), with the WriteSHIELD being just a tad more - enough, in fact, to probably cover the added single-use cloths and plastic removal tools.

Packaging

The Overlay Plus protectors arrive in individual plastic containers, with fairly simple instructions on the back for applying the protector. While you are advised to wipe the screen with a lint-free cloth to remove dust and contaminents, no such cloth is provided (unlike the WriteSHIELD). I'd advise a dry, static free cloth such as the microfibre cloths sold at Sunglass Hut and other such shops.

The Overlay Plus protectors themselves are reasonably similar to, but slightly less thick than, the WriteSHIELD. They are a thickened plastic overlay which affixes to your screen via an adhesive back. Unlike the thin films which I've seen all too many times, they are not too fiddly, and can provide quite excellent protection for your fragile screen.
