John Romero, a famous game developer share a couple of new details about the next version of the NGage. John Romero was one of the developers of Doom and Quake is now working on projects for NGage. John revealed a few details concerning the next version of Nokia NGage, which he learned while attending the Moscow Game Developers Conference that took place on February 21, 2004. Romero believes that the current version of NGage console has no future. He said that the next version is should address a lot of the drawbacks of the NGage we all know. According to Romero, the new NGage lets you talk on the phone by hold the unit either way - with the narrow side or the flat panel to your face. Using a console of his own John Romero even showed to the reporter the way it goes. The new version of the NGage feels comfortable in your hands, Romero said, because of the device is smaller in size and thickness. He also claims that it is also much easier to remove the cartridge, which you can do so byflipping the back cover. Damian Stathonikos, PR-manager of Nokia Corporation's Department of Multimedia and Game Devices, stated that Nokia would not give any official information on their NGage platform development plans. "It is too early now to say something about any exact plans", Damian Stathonikos told Compulenta . PR-manager only confirmed that in a few years Nokia will be releasing some new versions of NGage.
