Yes, you got that right folks. iPhone developer Drunknbass has been working mighty hard to get the video recording working on the iPhone. This is no easy task because there are some issues with capturing the data and producing output in real time. What he has managed to do is record 5-seconds of video at 10fps and then immediately play it to prove that capturing video via the iPhone is possible! ![]() There’s an update to this story – Gizmodo is reporting that Monster and Friends have created an iPhone application, which can record video up to 45 frames per second. The final version is currently under development. Giz has vouched that they have tested Drunknbass’ process and it does indeed work as advertised. There is no interface, so you simply download the iPhone video recording app, put it in your iPhone’s application folder, then click on the button and it will start recording. The final version will be able to record unlimited-sized clips up to 30 frames per second and there will be an interface allowing you to save the clips. Monster and Friends [via Gizmodo] |
