Yes, apparently iphonesimfree have successfully demo an unlock process to Engadget editor today. The unlocking is software based, meaning the iPhone will be unlocked in a few minutes by installing a piece of software.
Almost all the iPhone software works as per normal after the unlock, except the Visual VoiceMail. The iphonesimfree team promised that an iPhone software update will not break the unlocking, but this can only be proved when the next update is coming. There is no unlocking pricing detail is available, but watch out their site if you are keen to unlock your iPhone. Source [engadget] via [myitablet] |
