NTT DoCoMo has also announced NEC N902iS last week which feature search engine base on camera photo submission. You can take a photo and submit it to a search engine called Evolution Robotics.

The NEC N902iS comes with a 4 megapixel camera which support auto focus. The built in software is able to extract important "point" of the photo and submit it to the search engine. You will then get a result if it is found in the database. It is no need to submit the picture of the whole object. The search engine can search base on a portion of the object. Developed by Bandai Networks and D2 Communications, they are now adding more data to the database.
