If you thought Helio was just for MySpace-lovers and the geographically confused, think again. Their new Ocean smartphone is a dual-sliding, GPS tracking, 3G Ev-Do wielding powerhouse, capable of being the mobile hub for both your business and social lives.

Geotagged photos from the 2-megapixel camera can be instantly titled and assigned keywords before uploading them to the MVNO's new Helio UP online album, whilst Ocean is compatible with PlaysForSure subscription music services as well as all your existing mp3s that can simply be dragged & dropped across.  IM, email and SMS/MMS messaging are set up out-of-the-box, with support for AIM, MSN Live and Yahoo! IM, Gmail and even Microsoft Exchange Server syncronisation for calender, contacts and email.

Web searches might be easy to do - just start typing from the idle screen - but the results are anything but simplistic; Ocean automatically checks Google, Yahoo! and Wikipedia, as well as any other provider you choose, and offers all the results up in a tabbed browser.  It can even bring up local results thanks to the onboard GPS.  Helio's intuitive Buddy Beacon and Google Maps integration are brought along from existing handsets like the Drift, and reworked to take advantage of the new, 2.4-inch QVGA display (which can be used in portrait or landscape orientations).
