Hands On -The Pantech C3b is definitely a chick phone

I have been carrying around the Pantech C3b for about a month now. I wasn't really sure what to expect when it arrived, because from the photographs of the phone I actually didn't care much for it. Once it did come in the overall look was definitely cute.

The phone comes with interchangeable panels for the front in varying colors. My favorite being the orange (which is weird because I’m not an orange person). It is in fact very small; its dimensions being 2.72 inches tall, 1.69 wide and 0.76 inches thick. Actually, the thickness is a little much, I mean it’s great because it is a smaller phone, but it does end up looking a little more chunky. It just depends if you prefer a smaller phone or a thinner phone, you can’t have both just yet.

It has one screen on the outside, and one on on the inside, both are actually quite impressive for the size of the phone. The weird thing is that when you dial, the font is massive. Everyone thinks I’m exaggerating when I say that until they see it for themselves. To fit a number on the screen it actually has to make the font slightly smaller as you are dialing. The VGA camera has both flash and a 4x digital zoom, to be honest the camera is nothing to boast about. It’s just your everyday run of the mill camera you’d find in most cellphones. The ringtones do in fact bite a little like most phones, but if you like downloading your own it’s no big deal either way. It features MP3/64 Polyphonic ringtones.

Overall, I would have to say this is a cute phone that does occasionally turn a few heads. It’s nothing complicated, it would be great for students, especially girls. I have to say this is the only phone I have ever had that actually fits into the miniature pockets they tend to put in chick jeans. I’m sure the screens would appeal to the younger crowd quite a bit. One thing is that you do have to be cautious when speaking into it. The way I tend to hold my phone it made me sound muffled and difficult to understand. However, once I adapted to the smaller size it was fine.
