The first question asked was from a N70 user when he first learnt I have a set of N72: what's the difference? Besides the expansion in color options (both black and pink are available now compared to a standard silver for N70 previously), it just seems to be a tad slimmer when viewed sideways. Let's continue to look at some one-on-one comparisons on the technical specs, from a small neat feature at Nokia's website, where you can just click and drag to pull this comparison table out:
While bearing in mind there were some mistakes from the Nokia website's comparison, there doesn't seem to be a vast improvement from its predecessor N70 except for the design and a 128MB expandable memory type. The dynamic internal shared memory between SMS, MMS, contacts, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list and applications features remained around 20MB, which is considered as a standard for most full-featured multimedia handset models. While it is regrettable that it is not a 3G compatible handset, for those who wished to have their Outlook calendar schedule and not have their phone look like a PDA, this may serve as a good solution for their needs.
