When I first got this phone, my first instinct was to try very hard to pry it open. I couldn’t see any keypad or screen so they must be inside, right? After much poking, I managed to uncover the slot for the sim card at one of the long sides, but I still didn’t know how to turn it on.

The back of this phone is covered in leather, and that’s where the lens of the camera can be found. This is a very good 2 mega-pixel camera we are talking about. The small screen doesn’t do the pictures justice. You got to transfer the pictures into your computer to see its real quality. There’s no shortcut to get to the camera. You got to scroll through the menu and find it in the “Media” selections. The camera comes with 4x zoom which you can activate with the scroll.

You can choose from 4 image sizes and 3 picture qualities. After taking a picture, you can even edit its contrast, a function that we did not expect this tiny device to hold. The camera is good for taking pictures under adequate light. If you try to use the flash, you will find that it turns everything blue.

The video camera isn’t much use. It can’t even capture clearly movements the speed of natural human gestures, and most of show turns out like it’s on the mosaic effect.

The music player deserves a star. It can play mp3, acc and m4a files and keep the music going even when you are navigating the rest of your phone or even sending an sms. The loudspeaker found on the side is of surprisingly clear quality, and the output to the earpiece is excellent too. The music player supports a track list with continuous play. With the 52mb internal memory (no expansion slot), you can get as long as 2 hours of non-stop music if you’re using the more compact acc format.

The handsfree chat works in the same background mode as the music player, so you can access your phone book, key in and save numbers while talking over the loudspeaker. The voice quality here sounds treble but clear. The handset produces a fuller sound.
