TalkPlus, provider of Voice 2.0 services over mobile networks, has announced the closing of its Series A round of $5.5 million in venture capital from Menlo Ventures.

Offering new and innovative Voice 2.0 calling services that work with existing mobile phones, TalkPlus plans to revolutionize the way people use their mobile phones. TalkPlus' patent-pending technology, under development for over two years, will provide customers an advanced calling services previously unavailable from carriers.

TalkPlus plans to launch their new services nationwide in early 2007.
