JAJAH unveil the JAJAH Mobile Suite, which will allow consumers to make free long-distance and global calls directly from their mobile phones. With 2.5 billion-plus people who use mobile phones as their primary communications device, the JAJAH Mobile Suite vastly expands the company's global footprint. The JAJAH Mobile Suite will allow virtually any mobile phone to make JAJAH calls. Starting with Symbian and Java-based J2ME phones and soon with innovative text messaging and smart-phone/browser solutions. Combined, JAJAH enables virtually any cell phone, regardless of carrier, manufacturer or existing agreement to make JAJAH calls. JAJAH works with customers existing mobile phones and plans - no new number, no new agreement.
According to Stephan," As a registered user, you go to the site and check if your phone is supported. If it is, you grab the plug in and from then on, your mobile calls can be JAJAH calls. The default setting takes numbers with an international prefix and sends them through the Jajah "network". The first phones we are going to support Java based (J2ME) and Symbian S60 version 7.x or 8.x phones and we'll be adding to the list as fast as we can. We are counting on our community to tell us what you think and to tell us what phones you'd like to have supported - we'll add them to the list." The "Free" Calling plan is limited to the following according to the site The JAJAH Free Global Calling Plan applies to land line and mobile calls to and within the United States; Canada; China; Hong Kong; Singapore and Taiwan and it applies to landline calls to and within Australia; UK; Germany; France; Italy and most other European nations. It applies when both call participants are registered JAJAH users. In countries where free phone calls are not available, or if someone is calling a non-JAJAH member, calls are simply subject to JAJAH’s ultra-low rates: |
