The Siemens Gigaset cordless phone enabled with Yahoo! Messenger with Voice's Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calling features is now available for less than 130 Euros in stores across Germany , France , Italy , Spain and the Netherlands.

The combination of Siemens Gigaset S450 Y cordless phone, the Gigaset M34 USB adapter, and Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, users can now talk with other Yahoo! users over the Internet for free, or call any number worldwide using Yahoo!'s low-cost Phone Out service from anywhere in their home or garden.

Consumers can access their Yahoo! Messenger with Voice contacts using the intuitive menu on the Gigaset S450Y's large color display. Not only can they update their own presence status, but users can also see which of their Yahoo! contacts is online and save time by checking in advance if the person they want to call is available.

Unlike traditional corded USB phones, the Siemens Gigaset cordless phone, enabled with Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, offers users the advantage of mobility. With the M34 USB connected to a PC, the user may place the Gigaset S450 Y base station anywhere in the home, and make or receive calls from up to 50 metres from the unit.

The S450Y package also includes a voucher for 250 free minutes for the Yahoo! Phone Out service that can be used to make calls to fixed lines and mobile networks. The new Gigaset S450Y incorporating Yahoo! Messenger with Voice is a hybrid phone equipped to make and receive normal fixed line calls in addition to VoIP calls at the push of a button.
