Skype And Dell Team Up

Skype and Dell just announced on Wednesday that they will be joining forces that they will be now teaming up to bring faster VoIP phone calls.

The companies have agreed that along with every new Dell; will contain software such as XPS mobile systems.  Dell customers will instantly be provided with instant access to Skype's voice and video internet calling software. Skype is set to be pre-loaded with Skype on the XPS 2010 which features a 20.1-inch high-definition display with an integrated Web-cam.

The XPS 1210 the second model is set to be configured with Skype with an optional audio-video communications package, which contains features such as a noise-isolation earbuds, Web cam, and mobile broadband capability. Brett Faulk, worldwide marketing director for Dell released in a statement that "As the leading notebook supplier, Dell is committed to delivering cutting-edge technology that provides voice and video connectivity virtually anywhere." Those using Skype enabled PC's best of all will be able to conduct worldwide calls with no worry about the cost or distance.

Skype originally made headlines when back in March it announced that Tellme Networks were making seven new consumer voice applications available for Skype. Consumers can reach these services by IP transport to reach the VoiceXML browser. 

The new services can be reached by logging onto Skype Developer Zone online, where users will instantly be able to activate their Skype account. The new system now allows developers to create voice applications and allow them to be submitted to the Skype community.
