The WiFi skype VoIP mobile phone from Netgear is now available in Amazon as a pre-order item. It will be start shipping from 30th June, which is 2 more months to go.

Everyone is getting in on the whole Skype experience, and it’s quite understandable why. Cell phones and even regular home lines can become quite a financial burden, and since almost everyone has high speed internet, talking for free online is a great solution. The problem is that the service requires a person to be at home to use it. Well, there came a solution to this problem as well. Companies started making cell phones dedicated to this type of service, with Netgear now being one of them.

The SPH101 phone from Netgear is unique in one very important aspect: Wi-Fi support. If you’re in a hot spot with an 802.11 connection and you have one of these handy, you’re in luck. A dedicated enough person can make this thing work as their ordinary phone, skipping out on cell phones and land lines all together!
