3jam today announced its 3jam reply-all text messaging service at DEMOfall 2006. Available now at 3jam.com, 3jam enables users to send a text message to any number of friends at once, have everyone know who got the message, and have the replies go to everyone.

Using SMS, 3jam enables users to start a text conversation instantly with any number of friends they choose, all at once, without requiring the recipients to sign up for the service. However, signing up is free, and no subscription or download is required.

"It's like reply-to-all for your mobile phone," said Andy Jagoe, co-founder and CEO. "We started this company because we wanted a better way to stay in touch with friends and were frustrated with the limitations of today's text messaging. Before 3jam, there was no way to send one text message to a group of friends where your friends could reply-to-all. Our early users have found that 3jam not only makes it easier and more fun to stay in touch, it actually makes socializing more spontaneous."

Anyone who can send a text message can 3jam. No special software or downloads are required because 3jam works on any wireless carrier and on any mobile phone that supports text messaging. 3jam charges consumers nothing to use the service. Consumers can send a single message to multiple friends for the price of a standard text message.

Without requiring a mailing list or pre-defined group to be set up in advance, 3jam users can choose who gets the message right when they decide to send it -- whether or not their friends are signed up with 3jam.
