In Scotland, a total of 58 teenagers received notification of their results via mobile phones on Monday - a day before the results were officially released. Mike Haggerty, SQA spokesman, said: "We sent out 58 sets of results and we know that 56 of these were sent and received, although the individuals could have turned their phones off. "We are happy that technically the pilot has worked well and we have no reason to doubt the accuracy of the messages that we have sent, because we checked them many times before they went out. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/4133352.stm Such practise has already been implemented in Singapore 2 years ago, students can query their result via SMS or automated phone call. |
