Beginning today, the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide is commercially available through T-Mobile in the U.S. Powered by Danger's software and services, the device also will be commercially available this year in Germany and the United Kingdom under the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide brand and in Australia branded as the hiptop Slide from Telstra.
From a volume stand point alone, it is 25% smaller than the previous generations of T-Mobile's Sidekick family. The handset features Danger's application software, which includes push e-mail, full HTML Web browsing, instant messaging, mobile phone, calendar, address book and media player, as well as a consistently updated content catalog. Additional benefits of Danger's service include always-on internet connection, automatic data back-up, and ongoing feature and user-experience improvements. Users also have the option to access their data and applications from any Web-enabled computer. The SideKick Slide is sold at $199.99 with a two-year contract. |
