Toshiba's TS605 weighs in at 76g and it's only 10.3mm thick. The phone is a nice, cheap treat for the younger generation. Phone is not a data intensive device and is not 3g compatible.

Marketed towards to younger demographic, the Toshiba TS605 (Slim Phone) is slim, sexy, candybar phone that does the basics.  The Toshiba TS605 is 76g, 10.3-mm thick phone that sports a 1.3M camera, T-flash card slot, and a TFT LCD capable of 260,000 colors.  The polyphonic phone is also capable of playing mp3s or you can use the composer to create your own rings.  With this phone the ringtones might be the only feature worth using if you exclude the off button.

The negatives.  When it comes to data, the TS605 fails in every category, although it's quite capable of GPRS.  The phone lacks compatibility with HSCSD, EDGE, 3G Networks, WLAN, and every wireless standard available to phone enthusiast.  In addition, the TS605 is Bluetooth v1.2 compatible, not v2.0.  The messaging services include SMS, EMS, MMS, and email with the convenience of WAP 2.0/xHTML, and WSP.  The only positive is the FM radio and its design.

Toshiba obviously markets their phones to a younger crowd by making the TS605 available in pink, green, champagne, copper, silver, and aubergine.  Another disappointment is talk time.  It outputs a horrible 2 h 30 min of talk time and 150 h of stand-by time.  For such a slim phone with very few feature buyers would expect a talk time of three to four hours, or even more.  The phone is so slim and capable of feats that have been around for years, it should reign as talk-time king but it doesn't come close.

The sultry design is a definite 9.5, features a 6.0, performance a 6.5, but overall it’s a solid 7 something.  This phone is marketed in Europe and Europeans are often at the forefront of cell phone demands.  I'm sure this is a major letdown for smart buyer.
