Hop-on announced that it plans to launch the second in its line of slider phones at CES 2006. The new model 1887 is the latest addition to Hop-on's low-cost handset line that targets the mid-tier phone market in the US.

Dan Gannon, Chief Executive Officer of Hop-on, commented, "Over the past week we have announced a few exciting new additions to our product line and this new offering is no exception. We are targeting the domestic North American market with these new phones because they offer the latest look, features and quality at a price point far below our competitors. Hop-on has always maintained that our Company is focused on making mobile phone technology available to everyone in an affordable manner. We now plan to deliver on that same goal to North America in a big way."

Hop-on's newest slider phone, model 1887, is 87x45x22 mm. It is a tri-band handset (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), with a vibrant color screen. It is a GPRS class 10 phone, with SMS and MMS messaging capability. The phone comes standard with a VGA pixel CMOS digital camera with a flash. An MP3 player, an FM radio and JAVA games are also standard features.
