When trying to extend mobile phone battery life, Mitsubishi has actually attached a solar panel on its music phone "Music Porter". A prototype is completed and it is able to fully charge the battery with just the sun light.

If you are using just the sun light, it will take a few days to fully charge the battery. This might not be a good idea to expose your mobile phone under the hot sun for too long.

The design did extend the battery life when you use it outdoor. Mitsubishi will continue the development and improve the efficiency of the solar panel to generate more power.
