SpinVox the world's first voicemail-to-text service for mobile and landline phones is delighted to announce that it has won the inaugural GSMA (GSM Association) Mobile Innovation Award at this year's 3GSM World Congress.

This highly prestigious award was entered by over 150 companies worldwide, with entries being scrutinised by an international panel of judges from the venture capital and global network operator community. 15 short-listed companies then presented to the Mobile Innovation Award judging panel in an open session. SpinVox was announced as the final winner of the award last night, at the 2006 GSM Association Awards Gala Dinner.

SpinVox is the world’s first voicemail-to-text service for mobile and landline phones. The service converts voicemail messages into texts and sends them straight to your mobile phone, as if the caller had sent you a text. You can instantly see who called and what they said, then call or text back at the push of a button.

By connecting voice and text you can now continue the conversation without having to call your mailbox and jot down message details.

"It's great that the mobile industry has again recognised how radical combining voice & text can be - for customers and operators alike - particularly when this is achieved within existing services. SpinVox's voicemail-to-text is a simple idea that changes the way in which we communicate - we can now keep the 'conversation' going even when we're not available! It's no surprise that the talking point is our impact on call continuity and how this will change core operator services." commented Christina Domecq, CEO, SpinVox.
