Being an ordinary MP3 player just doesn’t cut it these days, unless your name has the word “iPod” in it. In order to beat Apple’s larger-than-life giant, companies are trying all types of tricks on their new music players. Nothing seems to be working, but it looks like we have yet another challenger. Hyon Korea is trying its luck out with the MP3P Bluetooth enabled MP3 player. Aside from Bluetooth, this baby has a few other nice features that just might get it the attention it deserves.
Simply from a portable music player perspective, the MP3P is a Flash player with memory sizes ranging from 128MB-1GB. It has a 96 x 64 65K color screen, and is roughly 32 x 71 x 17.5mm in size. The device also has an FM tuner (a feature all of the iPods initially lack), and supports MP3/OGG file playback. As for Bluetooth, the MP3P can connect to any Bluetooth enabled cell phone. It can be used as a hands free device, and even more impressively, as a phone itself! Utilizing the soft dial and display, this thing can actually make calls instead of your phone. If the cell and MP3P are connected through Bluetooth, and the MP3 player goes out of range, it’ll emit a sound, thus foiling a possible burglary. The sweet features don’t stop here. Any MP3 file that you have on the MP3P can be used as a ringtone! Battery life is 12 hours of music playback, and 7 hours of talk time. Both of these numbers are pretty average for a cell phone and a music player respectively. All in all, the MP3P takes Bluetooth technology, and brings it to a whole new level of functionality. Technically, you can get a crappy-looking phone that has Bluetooth, and keep it connected to the MP3P. Now you have a sweet looking Bluetooth phone. Pretty cool stuff. Features: - MP3 Player (mp3, wma, ogg) This gadget also looks like a rebrand version of the similar product reported last year http://www.slashphone.com/106/3156.html |
