Tekkeon today announces ezTalker digital, its next-generation Bluetooth v1.2 headset with an optimized organic LED (OLED) screen that significantly simplifies making and receiving calls. With the presentation of incoming caller ID and quick access to many advanced features, ezTalker digital minimizes the need for direct interaction with the mobile phone.

Tekkeon optimized ezTalker digital with an OLED that allows for a bright, easy-to-read display. This 64x48 pixel OLED provides the incoming caller's number and the list of stored numbers in a call list for easy redial. The call list contains the last 15 received numbers, which are automatically stored on the headset, and can be quickly browsed and dialed. Information about the headset, including headset status, connection status, battery level, and volume level, is available at a glance on the display.

"ezTalker digital has been designed to enable users to virtually cut the ties with the mobile phone," says Jerry Yang, president of Tekkeon. "By taking advantage of incoming caller ID, a stored call list, and a long list of advanced features, users can answer and make calls directly from the headset, without having to juggle the headset and the mobile phone."

ezTalker digital is equipped with a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that provides up to five hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby time while maximizing the quality of communication through the headset. (When used with mobile phones that support an HV3 connection, ezTalker digital provides up to eight hours of talk time.) The battery is conveniently housed in the headset earhook so that it can be replaced with a spare to provide even more hours of talk time. And the power adapter plugs directly into the headset earhook, eliminating the need to carry a cradle.

ezTalker digital's over-the-ear design puts the headset controls at the user's fingertips. Making and receiving calls is simple with one-touch access to pairing, answer, end, reject, and transfer call, power on/off, volume control, mute, call waiting, last number redial, and voice-activated dialing. Both visual and audible indicators identify the headset mode, and provide a low battery indication.
