Motorola's IHF1000 Bluetooth car kit is currently available in Aston Martin's, Vanquish S and DB9 sports cars. Motorola's leading in-vehicle technology, provides Aston Martin owners with a seamless communications experience that keeps them connected to their office, home, friends and family through innovative Bluetooth technology.

The Motorola IHF1000 mutes the vehicle's stereo system on receipt of an incoming call or the start of an outgoing call, so drivers can conduct hands-free and wire-free mobile phone calls. Unlike standard speaker-dependent voice recognition systems that rely on exact pronunciation of a recorded name, the IHF1000 accurately recognises voice commands, regardless of accent or articulation. A highly advanced noise reduction system ensures background noise has no affect on voice commands.

This allows the driver to connect seamlessly the first time, while on the move in some of the world’s most desirable sports cars. Incoming calls, SMS messages and battery monitoring are also announced to the driver through the car’s sound system and speakers.

Variety is a key word when describing the IHF1000 - supporting multiple languages and multiple users. The system supports voice recognition in a range of languages including English (US and UK), French (EU), Spanish, Italian and German. So regardless of who is doing the talking, or in what language, there is no need to keep retraining the system. The kit is also compatible with up to four Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones paired to the system at any one time, each of which is accessed individually. Switching between the phones is made effortless by the voice operated controls.

When the driver reaches their destination, they simply leave the car and the call will automatically transfer from the in-car system to the handset once they are out of range or the ignition is off.

Compatible with most Bluetooth phones, the IHF1000 will be a standard feature in selected markets in the Aston Martin DB9 from August 2005 and an optional extra in the newV8 Vantage from 2006. 2006 Vanquish S vehicles will also have this cutting edge product as a standard in selected markets.
