BenQ Mobile presents the BenQ-Siemens CL71, a slim (17.8 mm) slider mobile with extensive multimedia features. Winner of the coveted iF Design Award 2006, this exquisite mobile is a real feast for the eyes. The semi-automatic slider mechanism provides tactile mobile luxury. Just a gentle touch is sufficient to make the top of the mobile phone glide upwards automatically to reveal the silver-colored keypad underneath.

The BenQ-Siemens CL71 is perfectly suitable for exchanging photos, videos and music with friends via Bluetooth or MMS. However, you can also view the snapshots directly on the top-class 2-inch TFT display in 262,144 colors with 176 x 220 pixel picture definition. Thanks to IPS technology, the definition remains brilliant even at a wide viewing angle, so you can share your personal photo collection with friends for everyone to see. The internal phone memory (24 MB) can be extended using microSD cards to give enough room for any amount of multimedia content.

The built-in 1.3 megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom permits photo sequences with up to four shots to be taken in quick succession. Additionally, moving pictures can be shot and played back on the mobile using the video function. As a special feature, the camera is hidden when the slider is closed, providing protection for the lens.

Apart from an MP3 player, the BenQ-Siemens CL 71's musical offering also includes an FM radio integrated in the stereo headset supplied with the phone to ensure the very best sound quality. 

To make the multimedia enjoyment afforded by the BenQ-Siemens CL71 last a long time, this compact mobile phone is very smart in its battery use. By activating a hot-key on the side of the mobile’s casing, it can be switched directly into power-save mode. Moreover, this hot-key permits the keypad to be locked and unlocked, thus preventing inadvertent activation of the mobile. It will be available on the market in Q2, 2006.
