Samsung Electronics expects to market its 5-million pixel camera phone sometime at the end of this month, beating out rival companies in the camera phone industry, such as Casio.

According to inside sources on Friday, Samsung Electronics recently finished the production of its 5-million pixel camera phone, which will hit the market before the end of the month. Until now, Samsung had yielded top spot in the market to Japanese companies, like Casio.

Samsung Electronics was behind in market competitiveness when it produced its 3-million pixel camera phone in mid-July, a month after Casio. The unveiling of this new model by Samsung will likely heat up competition among the Big Three: Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Pantech & Curitel.
