If you remember the F700 which is also known as the Croix, this phone will be like that, but thinner. It is believed to have a similar interface as the Croix, but with a new icon set for Sprint, it will have CDMA and EV-DO.
It will however lose the keyboard of the F700 in order to make for a much thinner phone, so everything will be touch-screen based. It will only have a 2MP camera, but the phone on whole will work with MP3, WMA, AAC, H.264, and MPEG-4 formats, with the last one in that series being the format the phone will record video in.
No word on how much, if any, internal memory the phone will be offering but there is a microSD card slot which will probably support microSDHC so you can probably stuff at least 8GB in there, and there might even be support for the new 12GB microSDHC card that was released this past week. It will have a 3.2-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and is only 11.8mm thick. Obviously, for audio, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are price or availability numbers known for this device at this time, and it’s just a leak, so some of this info could change. But, there is a European version of the phone, called the F490 and it will be coming out in February for 530 Euro, but, the differences are, the F490 will have a 5MP camera, an 130MB of memory, that is what we know, it will also have HSDPA and UMTS.
