The Samsung SPH-B3100 is a clamshell designed phone that can be opened both horizontally and vertically with. It has a 1.6 million colors LCD screen to support the digital media broadcast receiving capability. The H1000 also has TV Output port to play the programe on the TV.

The design of the swivel LCD screen is not the first from Samsung. The screen will automatically activate the Landscape mode when the LCD screen is switched. The landscape mode also give a better view when mobile subscribers watch digital media broadcast programs.

On the keypad itself quick access to MP3 and TV programe can be activated easily with the quick access buttons. This is the 3rd Samsung phones with the similar screen design. While DMB services is not yet popular here, the phone will now available at Korea only.

Other than the DMB capability, it has also a 2.0 megapixel camera, 64 polyphonic ringtones, Transflash slot, QCGA TFD screen, support EVDO connection and multitasking.
