NTT DoCoMo announced today that they will start selling the P901i 3G FOMA handset, the latest model in the advanced 901i series, nationwide on February 4, 2005.

The 901i series offers surround-type 3D sound for vivid ringing melodies and realistic audio effects when playing i-appli games or using other applications.

The main features of the P901i include:

• Available in four colors and can be used with or without any of the 11 CustomJackets for 48 customized looks.
• 16% lighter than the P900i (124 grams), or as light as 104 grams without a CustomJacket, the lightest FOMA handset available.
• Supports Movable Text Stamp for inclusion with Decomail™ templates.
• Preinstalled i-appli applications to download content matched to individual CustomJackets from the P-SQUARE i-mode site. Standby screen, mail send/receive animation and menu icons are highly customizable.
• Installs application "Final Fantasy II" which is the second version of final fantasy series which is SQUARE ENIX's product.
