The MyPal A716 is going to be the first Pocket PC from Asus to come with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technologies on board. Asus doesn’t release Pocket PCs very often, but its products always have something to attract customers with. The latest handhelds have an image of really powerful and functional yet long-playing handheld computers.

If you are looking for the latest Asus MyPal A716, this is good news for you. According to Brighthand, the handheld will be available in the U.S. next month. What’s more, you can already preorder it at PROportable.

The MyPal A716 is the first Pocket PC from Asus to come with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technologies on board. It will run Windows Mobile 2003 on a 400 MHz Intel XScale PXA255 processor, and have 64 MB of RAM (58 MB user available), the same amount of ROM, and both SD and CF expansion slots.

The screen is a 3.5-inch transflective TFT at the standard resolution of 240x320 pixel. The device will be 135 mm tall, 75 mm wide, 17.6 mm thick, and weigh 170 grams. It will be equipped with a 1500 mAh Lithium Ion swappable battery.

The handheld is offered for $499 and will be bundled with three games from PDAMill: Anthelion, Snails, and Gamebox Classics. In order to preorder it, you should send an email to PROportable's sales department. The device is expected to be in stock in mid-February.
