In addition to the 1 GB SD card announced yesterday, SanDisk is planning to introduce a 2 GB Memory Stick PRO card very soon.

The Memory Stick PRO card allows the highest capacity in the card format available at the moment. The storage of 2 gigabyte in the Memory Stick form factor will be offered this February for approximately $1,000. Next largest cards offer room for 1 GB of data for something in the neighborhood of $400.

As you know, the Memory Stick slot is used for expansion in most Sony CLIEs. Unfortunately the latest Memory Stick PRO format is not backwards compatible with older handhelds and will only work with CLIE handhelds running Palm OS 5.
