According to the Reuters, Vodafone on Monday unveiled two new own-branded mobile handsets it plans to sell for $25 to $45 to boost sales in developing economies of Asia and Africa.

The one of world's biggest mobile operators said it expected to sell over a million of the two phones within a year.

In this market, Vodafone will compete with Nokia and Motorola. The world's biggest mobile operator by sales will directly compete with Nokia's cheap phone handsets which recently become the world's top-selling consumer electronics product by surpassed the 200 million-unit milestones.

The Finnish phone maker also unveiled seven new models recently, all priced below 100 euros ($136), to seek to emulate their success.
