HTC will "have" it all if they win the contract from PalmOne to build the next version of Treo 600. DigiTimes released information today suggesting that High Tech Computer (HTC) may likely win contract from PalmOne to build the upgraded version of the Treo 600, according to Chinese-language Commercial Times.
HTC has declined to comment on this news. This may not be new information, but I was recently told off the record that there are some interfacing problems with the current model of the Treo 600 when using Bluetooth card via SDIO during testing. PalmOne is reaching out to a third party hardware company to build the driver that should remedy this issue. I suspect that the driver supporting Bluetooth will be implemented in the upcoming release of the Treo 600. This information is still unconfirmed. |
