GSPDA Xplore G88 announced at PalmSource utilizing Palm OS Powered Smartphone.

This device was announced at PalmSource as GSPDA Xplore G88 Palm Powered Smartphone.

These images are reported to be a new version of the Xplore G18, GSM Palm  Powered smartphone from GSPDA.   The new device has a small fixed sliding number pad.   No  other details are available other than that it seems to be running Palm OS 4.

The current model Xplore G18(on the right) runs Palm OS 4.1.2, with 16 MB RAM and has a built-in 352 x 288 digital camera with digital zoom.   It has a 176 x 240 pixel TFT LCD screen (260K color), and SMS / MMS support.   It’s powered by a 900 mAH Li-ion battery for 100 hours standby/2 hours of talk time, Web browser, and a one-handed navigation.   The wireless phone radio is a class 10 GSM/GPRS 900/1800 dual band.   The dimensions are 100 x 48 x 21.1 mm (3.9 x 1.9 x 0.8 inches) and it weighs approximately 105 grams (3.7 ounces).

The current Xplore G18 is available in Asia and Europe .   There is a GSM version for the US in the near future, but a release date has not been announced.
